Yelo taxis are Braintree's premier taxi company running a
fleet of 28 vehicles; started in 1978 we have built a
reputation for reliability, quality service, friendly drivers and competitive prices.
Yelo were one of the first companies in north Essex to introduce wheelchair accessible vehicles with tail lifts in 1986 and also a full data despatch system giving customer privacy and creating fuel economies to help the environment.
The main part of our fleet are environmentally friendly Skoda Octavia's. We also have 5 wheelchair accessible vehicles two of which have tail lifts for larger electric wheelchairs and also 6 and 8 seat Mini buses
Our control room is manned on average 21 hours a day with phones transferred to night drivers during the other three hours enabling us to offer you a full 24 hour service 365 days a year.
All of our vehicles and drivers are licenced by Braintree District Council, all vehicles undergo two taxi tests a year at a Braintree District Council testing station in addition to the normal yearly MOT and all drivers undergo regular medical and enhanced criminal records bureau checks for your safety.
